COMMITMENT

The YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program was designed to help families with a loved one who has suffered a spinal cord injury meet the sponsorship needs to various programs which help these individuals attain their goals. Kevin J. Mullin choose to workout at a neurological rehabilitation facility to gain aggressive functional rehabilitation to maximize his recovery and to push the limits of what is possible. He will be our first recipient to receive sponsorship from his community. We are working with the media, fellow business owners and organizations in all communities who will make his dream of walking again a reality. Please take the time to thoroughly review his web site in total. This will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the commitment this young man will have to undertake.

The YMI is a qualified tax-exempt charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program first asses the needs of an individual who is afflicted with a spinal cord injury and designs a system to help that individual achieve their goals. The YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program works with spinal cord injured individuals, their families and their communities to help provide assistance towards programs that provide independence, functional living skills, strength training, vocational training, sports, recreation, education, health/nutrition and research.

You may choose to provide support through an unrestricted gift or a gift earmarked for a specific program. 100% of a donation is applied toward the objectives and mission of the Institute.

On behalf of the executive officers Of YMI, we express our most sincere gratitude for your consideration and kindness.

Ideas for Charitable Giving are listed below.

If you'd like to maximize your tax situation with an immediate deduction while benefiting charity, consider the following:

Cash is convenient and provides an income tax deduction when itemizing your income tax return.

Stock - Donate appreciated stock held for more than one year and avoid a capital gains tax. Consider choosing appreciated stock with the greatest capital gain to take maximum advantage of this unique tax benefit. Sell stock that has lost value and donate the proceeds. You can deduct the loss in value (cost basis less current value) and derive an income tax charitable deduction for the current market value.

Insurance - Donate an insurance policy that you no longer find useful, and receive a charitable deduction for the cash value of the policy.

Credit card - Get the deduction now and pay the bill later. If your card provides membership rewards, you get all of the tax advantages plus an additional benefit.

Matching gift - Some companies have matching-gift programs for charitable donations. Enclose the company form with your contribution.

To donate Stock or an Insurance policy you may contact us by email.

The Youth Motivation Institute - Spinal Cord Injury program requires commitments from sponsors. Families bear a tremendous financial burden to move, house, and maintain a loved one who is inflicted with a spinal cord injury. Rehabilitating from spinal cord injuries and similar conditions is time and labor intensive. Much of what is required to reclaim these individual's lives is only partially covered by insurance or not at all. Gifts and donations to YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program will provide these individuals and their families the help and hope they need. Our goal is to work together with them to seek and maintain sponsorship for these various programs and organizations so that they may fight for their independence.

Every year ten to thirteen thousand people sustain a spinal cord injury. Kevin J. Mullin is the first to be accepted into YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program from the his area. Kevin J. Mullin's goal is to attend an aggressive rehabilitation facility to maximize his recovery and gain ability to walk again. As this is being achieved, he is committed to YMI - Spinal Cord Injury program to help others from his community as well as any other state. Kevin is working with several media outlets and other corporations to create exposure and possibilities for spinal cord injured individuals. His web site was designed specifically to allow others to learn about his injury and his progress while attending his aggressive functional rehabilitation program and accomplishing his personal goals. It is and will be updated regularly and often. Once an email address is entered (optional), the database will automatically send updated messages and videos of his progress.

2006 has be a very optimistic and rewarding year for Kevin, his family and friends. Their combined efforts will help Kevin gain the ability to walk again. They refuse to accept the medical community’s opinion that life in a wheelchair is the only alternative. Together they will war against the odds. The commitment from Kevin and his family is to give back to families who experience such a tragedy.
